The Guard Shift Location document type is part of the Property Management Solution module. This document is designed to manage and define the locations where security guards will be assigned for their shifts. The primary function of this document is to create a list of guard shift locations, which can later be referenced in other modules or documents related to property management, security, and shift management.

1. Purpose of the "Guard Shift Location" DocType

The Guard Shift Location DocType helps in:

Tracking and Managing Security Locations: Creating and maintaining a list of locations where guards will be assigned for shifts.

Standardizing Location Names: Ensuring consistency in how locations are named and referenced within the property management system.

Integrating with Security Operations: Linking guard shift locations with other security or operational documents for better management and reporting.

2. Key Fields and Definitions

The "Guard Shift Location" document contains the following field:

Location Name:

  • Description: The name of the location where guards will be stationed (e.g., "Main Gate", "Parking Lot", "Reception").

  • Required Field: This field must be filled to create a new record.

3.1 Creating a New Guard Shift Location Entry

To create a new guard shift location in the system:

  • Navigate to the Guard Shift Location document in the Property Management Solution module.

Click the New button.

  • Enter the following information:

  • Location Name: Provide a unique name for the guard shift location (e.g., "Lobby", "West Entrance").

  • Save the document to create the new entry in the system.
