Key Set

The Key Set Doctype is part of the Property Management Solution module. It is designed to manage and record details about key sets, including the set name, number of keys, shelf number, location number, status, duplicate information, and whether the key set is disabled.

The Key Set Doctype is important because it provides a structured way to manage and keep track of the physical keys associated with various properties or facilities.

Here are the key reasons for its importance:

Organized Key Management:

  • It helps in cataloging all key sets with details such as set name, number of keys, shelf number, and location number.

  • This organization ensures that all key sets are easily identifiable and locatable.

Improved Security:

  • By having a detailed record of all key sets, it becomes easier to manage access to different areas within a property.

  • It reduces the risk of unauthorized access as each key set is accounted for and tracked.

Accountability:

  • The ability to link each key set to specific locations and staff members creates accountability.

  • It ensures that there is a clear record of who is responsible for each key set.

Tracking Duplicates:

  • The Duplicate of field allows tracking of duplicate key sets, which is essential for maintaining security and avoiding confusion.

Ease of Retrieval:

  • When keys are needed, the system provides a quick way to identify and retrieve the required key set from its specified location.

Compliance and Audit:

  • Having a structured record of all key sets supports compliance with security policies and provides a clear audit trail for inspections.
